Most of the time I prefer the short stories I've enjoyed to be longer, but not in this case. It seemed the perfect length. Sometimes you don't want a whole meal -- sometimes you just want a snack.If you enjoy May December romances that have some sugar and spice, this one should be right up your alley. If you like a story with a hero and the one he rescues falling in love. Is it gratitude or more? Don't you wish there was someone to help you fight your battles? What happens when you are outed in a religious family?
When an older established man meets a younger man who needs his help, he does so reluctantly. The younger man is open to being helped. What happens when a rock meets a hard place? Can love find a way?

Looking for an angst free story? I was. This was a perfect cleanser for me. Short and sweet. I'd have given it four stars but because it's a short story, the characters don't get a proper flushing out. 3.4.
This is a good example of how to develop and implement a short story. You are instantly part of the main character's lives and find yourself caring about them. The drawback to this particular short was that there was so much potential for the story to develop in a more complex way. Still, overall, it was a satisfying read.
Seriously, everything I've read by her has been amazing! This book is tiny but packed with hot adorableness.
A sexy electrician rescues a young man freshly kicked to the curb by homophobic parents and takes him home. Sexy times ensue.

A very sweet story.
Mitch is a sweet 38 slightly out of shape all together good guy.
Finding Elijah crying in a backyard and taking him home, out of the rain, changes his life.
But Elijah is young good looking and hurt and Mitch never thinks he will ever have a change to get close to and love the young boy.
But Elijah fills his house, then his bed, and then his heart.
Mitch, a 38 year old sparky, gets a phone call from his neighbour that will change his destiny forever. Enter Elijah, a young man whose life is falling apart around him.
What a great read. I adored these two characters, with Mitch owning a special place in my heart when he opened his own to a young man who needed him in more ways than one. Yet again Renae Kaye is on a winner with this wonderfully written Aussie-based short story.
This was a delightful short story about being gay and getting kicked out of your home. Elijah is a 23 year old gay man who gets kicked out of his home when his parents find out his sexual preference. Getting drunk in the rain is his go to way of dealing with the pain. Mitch is a 38 year old man who is an electrician, owns his own business and is dyslexic. Mitch rescues Elijah and a love story with hot sex evolves. A quick sweet read that needs a little proofreading, but other than that was good and would recommend it to anyone. Actually this is my second time reading it and enjoyed it both times.
This story is okay...nothing drastically stands out except that it's quite rushed. The entire story seems to be told on high speed with minimal details. There's absolutely nothing to show that Elijah means more than a sex partner but suddenly he's confessing love and the desire for a long term relationship. I would like to see it fleshed out more with better description of the emotions of both characters. As it stands it needs some work before it's more than a short outline of a story. I
